The Truth Of Tuesday Night

Guess what!?!

It's Tuesday AGAIN!

Yup, it happens every week!

One of these weeks, I will remember BEFORE Tuesday arrives.

It was weight in night tonight.

I went down to the hall, not sure what to think.

I knew I had exercised a total of 4 nights over the course of the week, but I also knew that we spent Sunday at the cottage with my parents.  That meant lots of snack foods I wouldn't eat at home, mostly in the name of licorice, chips and dessert!

With no further ado, here are this week's results:

Last week: 263.25 lbs
This week: 261.75 lbs

A loss of 1.5lbs!

Woot Woot!

I was so proud of myself.  Just think how well I can do if I combine both exercise AND food control!

That is my mini goal for next week.

I am going to log EVERY SINGLE bite of food for 1 week, starting tomorrow and post it on here each day.

I am sure that combo will see excellent results on the scale.

I mentioned a couple of Tuesdays ago, each week our group picks a Restricted Food Item.  I have gotten away from that for a couple weeks due to absence and our pot luck.

But back on track for that this week and I encourage you to test yourself as well.

This week's restricted food item (from July 11 - 17) is ICE CREAM

I will be fine with this one...I just won't buy it!

Until next time,

  1. Back on track, Amy! Way to go! I can't wait to see your food diary... EVERY DAY!

  2. Great job and great loss!! I like your idea of a restricted food. I may have to try it!

  3. I am so excited for you! Tracking all of your food and that drop is fabulous for one week!! Keep up the great work.

Restricted food idea is good, but ice cream? Seriously? I would die. ;) You can do it!

  4. Nice loss despite being at the parents' cabin!! I fell off my food diary (in the form of loseit.com) however I've caught up. The good thing about social media and a cellphone is if I'm not near a computer to log food I can make a memo or take a picture of a label and get myself ready to track my food. :)

  5. Still not a fan of the restricted food thing but we'll see how you do.

As for your parents cottage, you need to get them on board with you. It sounds like they like to show you how much they love you by feeding you and they do that with junk. I know you're close with your parents so maybe you should sit down with them and talk about foods that you would like to see at the cottage (pretzels, favorite fruits, etc) and ask them not to present you with temptation foods that you might not be able to resist. Surely, they will want to help you lose some of the weight and not deter you from your goals.

Good job on the weight loss! You're back on track!
